Architecture
Practice
James Stockwell Architecture is a four-person practice based in Sydney. Projects are predominantly residential, including multi-residential and small-scale public buildings.
The practice develops architectural work specific to each project, with a common thread of context, passive solar design, low running costs, and the belief that architecture tells a story of its place and people.

Sun, wind, water and thermal mass become part of the architectural order.
Low embodied-energy materials give buildings weight, texture and permanence.
Each project is made around a way of living, gathering and looking outward.
